Three in four Hungarian pay-TV homes now receive digital services, according to the regulator NMHH.
As of the end of September, there were 3,291,810 households in the country receiving pay-TV from one of the top 10 market players.
The number of cable and IPTV homes stood at 2,292,954, of which 1,434,930 opted for digital subscriptions, while the number of DTH and pay-DTT subscriptions stood at 893,234 and 105,622 respectively.
UPC, Telekom and Digi were the leading providers of pay-TV services irrespective of technology in Hungary in September, claiming market shares of 26.8%, 25.4% and 25% respectively.
Invitel remained in fourth place with a share of 4.7%.
