A+E Networks appoints Joost Waal as marketing manager Benelux.

joost_waal_ae_networksA+E Networks has appointed Joost Waal as marketing manager Benelux.

Joost Waal will be responsible for delivering marketing campaigns for History and Crime + Investigation in the Netherlands, increasing the local brand awareness of A+E Networks’ corporate and channel brands and enhancing relationships with viewers, affiliate partners and ad sales clients.

Waal previously held the position of Brand Guardian and Marketing Coordinator at National Geographic for Fox Networks Group in Amsterdam, where his remit covered events and advertising roles. Waal takes up his new role with immediate effect, reporting into Jessica Haagmans, regional director for the Benelux region at A+E Networks.

Jessica Haagmans“Joost Waal will be working alongside me to build and execute our local brand and marketing strategy for History and Crime + Investigation,” commented Jessica Haagmans.

“I am truly delighted to have him joining the A+E Networks family during such a significant growth phase”.

Haagmans joined A+E Networks in the newly-created role of Regional Director Benelux in September 2016. Waal is A+E Networks’ second member of staff in the region and he will be based with Haagmans in the company’s new office in Amsterdam.

In the past twelve months A+E has partnered with RTL Nederlands as its advertising sales house.
