M7 Group has announced that it will terminate SD distribution of seven leading Czech channels on the DTH platform Skylink on November 14.
Aside from Nova and Prima, they will include five – CT1, CT 2, CT 24, CT Sport and CT:D/art – operated by the public broadcaster Ceske Televize (CT).
The next step in the process will be the termination of all Slovak public and commercial services on December 31, 2016.
The move follows the securing of new capacity on Astra 3B at 23.5 degrees East that will be used to distribute HD versions of the channels.
Skylink is the leading DTH platform in both the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
