One in four UPC broadband subscribers in Romania now opt for the Connect Box.
According to the operator, the box, which serves as a WiFi router, was used by 140,000 of its 524,900 broadband customers as of the end of September. The device improves the Wi-Fi reach and enables data rates of up to 1Gbps.
In a release supplementing Liberty Global’s Q3 results, it also says that its revenues in the quarter amounted to RON172.8 million (€38.4 million), or 8.5% more than in the same period in 2015.
Meanwhile, its RGU total increased by over 9% over the year to 2,225,800 and customer base by 4.4% to 1,259,400.
