Telefónica ended the third quarter with 3.7 million pay-TV subscribers, or 4% more than in the same period last year, in its home market Spain.
Of these, 678,000 were DTS satellite customers.
Meanwhile, Movistar Fusión continued to grow in popularity, ending Q3 with 4.3 million customers, up 7% year-on-year.
Over two-thirds (68%) of them opted for pay-TV. Spain accounted for 24.8% of the group’s consolidated revenues and overall reported solid figures and trends.
As a whole, the group had net profits of €2,225 million in the first nine months of the year.
It performed particularly well in Q3, with its net income, at €983 million, being 38.5% higher than a year earlier.
