Orange Slovakia has installed Appear TV’s XC500 platform OTT headend system into its facility.
Integration of the project was undertaken by Sunteq, a provider of digital audio and video technologies that has represented Appear TV in Slovakia and the Czech Republic since 2012.
Separately, Orange Polska has confirmed that its proprietary channel Orange Sport will be closed at the end of the year for what it terms are business reasons.
Orange Sport was launched in 2008 and offered coverage of the Polish premier football league Ekstraklasa for the first three years.
