The Czech DTH platform operator Digi TV has formed a new DTH industry association.
According to Digizone, it is named the Czech Association of Satellite Operators (CASO) and plans to negotiate with the Czech Ministry and Trade the conditions under which the country will complete the transition to DVB-T2.
It adds that the CASO was officially established on August 2 and wrote to the ministry earlier this month, asking to be included in in discussions about the transition.
Although CASO has yet to sign up any of the other main DTH services in the Czech Republic, it counts Telly CE among its founder members.
CASO is headed by Pavel Ondra, a minority shareholder in Lama Energy Group and the MD of Digi Czech Republic and Digi CZ.
