Eleven Sports Network has announced a strategic partnership with Samsung, making its Eleven Sports platform available on Samsung Smart TVs in Singapore.

From October 22, 2016, fans will be able to watch the ELEVEN SPORTS service on TV for the first time, and enjoy the network’s premium sports content on its three action-packed channels – Eleven, Eleven Sports and Eleven Plus – via a dedicated Samsung Smart TV App built by NeuLion.

The app will be preloaded into all Samsung Smart TVs and provide fans with access to the Home of English Football, with the network showing three live and three delayed Premier League matches per week, plus action from every other domestic league and cup competition in England, including the Emirates FA Cup, EFL Cup, FA Community Shield and English Football League.

Basketball fans can catch action from the NBA, with four live matches per week of the regular season shown, plus the All Star game, NBA Playoffs, Conference Finals and Finals, all available via the pre-loaded app.

Eleven Sports viewers can take advantage of all the features of the existing tablet, mobile and web experience, including live pause and rewind, Video on Demand, and 24-hour Catch Up.

“Our non-exclusive distribution strategy means we want to reach as many fans as possible, and we are doing this in innovative ways,” says Danny Menken, Group Managing Director, Eleven Sports Network.

“This partnership with Samsung means our Eleven Sports service is now available on Smart TVs for the first time, and we look forward to working with them to explore further opportunities in the region.”

As part of the agreement, Samsung will become the exclusive Smart TV category sponsor for Eleven Sports Network’s Premier League, Emirates FA Cup and Serie A TIM properties in Singapore.

“Samsung is delighted to partner with Eleven to ensure consumers can enjoy their favourite football games in outstanding picture quality and clarity on Samsung Smart TVs,” says Steven Koh, Director, Consumer Electronics Business, Samsung Electronics Singapore.

“By partnering with Eleven, Samsung aims to delight our Smart TV owners with world-class sporting action on Singapore’s number one TV in the comfort of their homes.”
