Poland’s National Media Council (RMN) has reappointed Jacek Kurski president of the public broadcaster TVP.
According to Wirtualne Media, he received the support of four of the council’s five members, with the vote being resolved in the first round.
The only dissenting voice was that of Juliusz Braun, himself a former president of TVP.
The RMN has also now said that the board of TVP will consist of two members, rather than the one it had originally decided in August this year.
This change was apparently made at the request of Kurski.
Meanwhile, Maciej Stanecki will remain TVP’s VP.
