The Polish national commercial broadcaster TVN has appointed Marek Szydlowski, its current legal department director, to the management board with immediate effect.
He will continue to have overall responsibility for all aspects of legal service, as well as information security, compliance and internal audit.
Szydlowski has been the main legal advisor to TVN’s board since 2013. He specialises in media sector law, advising companies from this market segment since 2002, especially in copyright, advertisement and internet law. He also has an extensive knowledge of company, capital market and labour law.
Commenting on the appointment, Jim Samples, president of TVN, said: “Over the last three years Marek has provided outstanding leadership to our legal team and has overseen TVN’s smooth integration with Scripps Networks Interactive. He will be a valuable member of the board.”
