Film1 goes OTT on Playstation 4

Dutch premium movie channel Film1, owned by Sony Pictures Television Networks, has launched as an OTT service on Sony’s Playstation 4 with linear and on-demand programming.

For a monthly subscription fee of €12.99, the linear channel Film1 Premiere as well as Film1 on demand is available on the game console. PlayStation Plus subscribers enjoy a preferential rate of €9.99 a month.

“Film1 is the home of premiere movies and we’re delighted that we can now offer some of the biggest and best movie releases of the last 12 months direct to PlayStation4 subscribers making Film1 available on the screen and device of their choice whether that be their TV, mobile, tablet or PlayStation4 console,” commented Kate Marsh, EVP Western Europe for Sony Pictures Television Networks.

Film1’s five channels (Premiere, Action, Family, Drama and Sundance) remain available on the nation’s main TV distribution platfoirm such as Ziggo, KPN and CanalDigitaal, while Film1 on demand is available to Ziggo, KPN, and Vodafone Thuis subscribers.

Film1 is also available on the Film1 app on smart phones and tablets, for authenticated users only.
