Echo 24, a new local TV channel based in the Polish city of Wroclaw and backed by ATM Grupa, has made its debut.
According to local reports, it is distributed by the local DTT multiplex MUX L4, which covers Wroclaw and Lower Silesia, reaching a potential 1.5 million people.
It has also secured carriage on the local cable network TV Kozanów and is currently in negotiations with UPC Polska, Vectra and Multimedia Polska, the country’s three largest operators.
Echo 24, which can in addition be viewed online on echo24.tv, offers mostly news, current affairs and lifestyle programming.
Significantly, it has its roots in a former local service named Echo TV.
Launched in Wroclaw over 25 years ago, it was one of the Poland’s first private TV stations.
