Ninety per cent of Slovak viewers will be reached by signals from the country’s first DTT multiplex before the end of the year.
In a statement, the national transmission company Towercom says it will achieve this target by activating 10 new transmitters, the first of which, located in Roznava – Dievcia skala, was brought into service on September 29.
It gives viewers access to the TV channels Wau, Dajto, TV Lux and TV8.
Towercom launched DVB-T2 services on Slovakia’s fourth DTT multiplex this summer and also started an Ultra HD trial in Bratislava.
