Sky Deutschland secures Splendid Film package

Sky Deutschland FirmensitzGerman pay-TV broadcaster Sky Deutschland has acquired a movie rights package from German film production and sales company Splendid Film.

The multi-year agreement of which financial details have not been disclosed covers the exclusive pay-TV, pay-per-view and video-on-demand (VOD) rights for Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

The movies will be shown both on Sky Deutschland’s linear TV channels and its VOD services Sky On Demand, Sky Ticket and Sky Select. The bouquet contains current and future releases as well as library titles.

Part of the package are, for example, American Pastoral with Jennifer Connelly and Dakota Fanning, The Founder with Michael Keaton, Precious Cargo with Bruce Willis and Claire Forlani, 20th Century Woman with Annette Bening, Greta Gerwig and Dakota Fanning, What Happened to Monday with Noomi Rapace and Glenn Close, Jungle with Daniel Radcliffe and Operation Chromite with Liam Neeson.
