Walter Goldenits, Magyar Telekom Group’s chief technology and IT officer, will leave his position at the end of this year to become CTO at Telekom Germany, effective January 1, 2017.
Goldenits became Magyar Telekom’s chief technology and IT officer on January 1, 2013.
The scope of his work encompassed all network development and operations activities, IT architecture, development and operations services, technology strategy as well as wholesale activities.
Commenting on the development, Christopher Mattheisen, Magyar Telekom’s CEO, said: “The appointment of Walter Goldenits provides recognition to the technology unit of Magyar Telekom and to the level of commitment and professional work, which affects our everyday life and allows Magyar Telekom to offer high quality services to its customers. Together with his team he has proved a lot: our fixed line broadband services of the speed of at least 30 Mbps are available already in more than 2.6 million households and the outdoor population coverage of our 4G network exceeds 97,6%. Let me wish Walter all the best with his work”.
Goldenits’ successor will be appointed at a later date.
