Google will announce its Google Home and the 4K Chromecast Ultra devices at its October 4 event, according to Android Police.
Google Home was first announced at Google I/O in May, and will have a $128 retail price. The device is a router that will allegedly be able to create a single, large wireless network using multiple access points. With the router, Google will compete with devices which are rented or sold by platform operators such as cablers, telco’s and others.
Chromecast Ultra will, which Android Police is all but certain is the name of Google’s upcoming 4K version of Chromecast, will retail at $69. One of the sources claimed that HDR is on the list of bullet points for the 4k Chromecast.
