Regionalantenne Ermatingen has sold the cable network to co-shareholder UPC.
Regionalantenne Ermatingen AG (RAE A has operated the communication network in Ermatingen in the canton of Thurgau since 1989. What began in the eighties with the setting up of the cable television network, has, thanks to ongoing expansion and investment, resulted in a modern and contemporary hybrid glass fibre optic and coaxial cable network.
Now, the municipality of Ermatingen and the other private shareholders of RAE AG have decided to sell their share to co-shareholder UPC in the context of a strategic realignment.
Since RAE AG has been a partner of UPC since 1989, nothing will change for the some 1,100 customers as a result of this acquisition.
The board of directors of Regionalantenne Ermatingen AG is clearly pleased about the sale of the glass fibre optic cable network: “The future-proof glass fibre optic infrastructure requires a high level of expert knowledge, financial and technical resources, as well as competent advice for customers. UPC can offer our customers all of this, so that the future of the glass fibre optic cable network in Ermatingen is secured.”
RAE AG will be dissolved with the sale of the network.
