The Polish DTH platform nc+ plans to produce 120 hours of local content with Discovery Networks annually from 2017, according to its president Manuel Rougeron.
Speaking to Wirtualne Media, he added that nc+ sees Discovery Networks as one of its key partners, with the two operating Canal+ Discovery, Poland’s first and to date only premium documentary channel.
Asked by the platform’s Ultra HD plans, Rougeron said that its next decoder would be able to receive Ultra HD 4k signals. However, given the lack of content available in the format, it was still too early to say when it would be launched.
Although nc+ now provides its subscribers with an internet package and Unlimited TV, a new service which gives access to its TV offer through the Nc+ GO without any data limits, Rougeron said it has no plans to introduce any services not connected with telecoms and TV.
