Kaonmedia is taking a new generation of set-top box to IBC 2016 (Amsterdam, September 8 to 13). The Korean manufacturer is launching the Surround STB, which it says delivers an enhanced TV entertainment experience with improved sonic performance that matches TV’s lifelike scene.
“With the increase in OTT services and Video on Demand subscriptions, it is clear that viewers expect an enhanced experience with the highest quality video and audio content,” said Jennifer Han, Marketing Director at Kaonmedia. “But, as televisions become slimmer, the quality of audio content produced from their speakers decreases. Our new Surround set top box provides a solution for this, creating the home theatre experience viewers crave.”
A set of Surround STBs consists of two units, with one unit responsible for delivering quality video content and the other unit responsible for theater-like sound along with 6.1 channel virtual surround and 100W output with embedded woofer.
Surround STB also supports Bluetooth speakers, karaoke and gaming.
