Around three quarters of pay-TV homes in Hungary now receive digital services.
Data produced by the regulator NMHH shows that, based on data supplied by the 10 leading providers of pay-TV services, the figure stood at 73.5% as of this July.
In July, the total number of cable and IPTV subscriptions, based on the data from the eight major market players, was 2,272,063, of which 1,401,667 were digital.
Meanwhile, the number of DTH subscriptions was 900,617 and the pay-DTT platform MinDig TV Extta had 106,366 subscriptions.
In terms of market share, UPC was the leading provider of pay-TV services irrespective of technology (26.8%), followed by Telekom (25.3%) and Digi (25%).
