Nagra extends Korean Ultra HD partnership

Kudelski Group’s Nagra has extended its content protection partnership with the Korean satellite broadcaster KT Skylife to include its anyCast Connect solution.

NagrakudelskiThe solution will allow KT Skylife to secure the expansion of its 4K Ultra HD service and implement a flexible two-way content protection solution across multiple networks.

KT Skylife launched its 4K Ultra HD offer to subscribers in June 2015. Today, its 24/7 satellite broadcast of five 4K Ultra HD channels makes it the operator with the most comprehensive line-up of 4K Ultra HD channels in the world.

Commenting on the latest development, Han Lee, KT Skylife CTO, said: “With Nagra’s latest content protection solution, we are able to expand our 4K Ultra HD service to multiple networks with the peace of mind that this premium content is secure.

“Working with Nagra on extending our 4K Ultra HD offer reinforces our commitment to delivering an exceptional pay-TV experience to our subscribers and allows us to offer new services over time.”
