Agama Technologies selected by Deutsche Glasfaser

September 6, 2016 08.24 Europe/London By Robert Briel

Deutsche GlasfaserGerman FTTH network provider Deutsche Glasfaser is implementing Agama’s video service assurance solution.

Deutsche Glasfaser operates independent open access FTTH networks along with an IPTV platform that comprises linear TV, video-on-demand (VOD) and multiscreen services. With multi-device support, the company delivers free-to-air and pay-TV channels to subscribers’ traditional TV-sets via Deutsche Glasfaser’s Set Top Box, as well as to a TV-app for viewing on Android and IOS mobile devices.

Video streams are re-purposed for a variety of VOD, time-shift and catch-up TV services. By implementing Agama’s video service assurance solution, Deutsche Glasfaser can efficiently manage service quality and the customer viewing experience.

“Agama Technologies has an impressive track-record of successfully supporting video operators in improving operational efficiency in everything from troubleshooting and root-cause analysis to customer-care processes. This, in combination with a proven ease of integration with players and devices, makes us confident in our selection of Agama Technologies for the area of the video service management”, said Niels Jonkman, director of media at Deutsche Glasfaser.

“Ensuring the best viewing experience is a crucial component for our success and Agama, as a leading supplier for video service assurance solutions, was the natural choice when selecting a partner”.

Mikael Dahlgren, CEO at Agama Technologies, added: “We are pleased that Deutsche Glasfaser has selected Agama as a partner for its video service assurance. It will be exciting to be part of their journey of rolling out the largest open Fiber network in Germany.”
