The Swedish state has given its approval Com Hem’s €144 million acquisition of Boxer Sweden.
The cablenet received the approval from cabinet minister Mikael Damberg.
It leaves the permission of the Swedish Competition Authority for the purchase to go ahead.
“We are of course very pleased with the State’s decision and look forward to a positive response from the Swedish Competition Authority as well,” says Anders Nilsson, CEO, Com Hem.
Boxer’s approximately 500,000 DTV customer base is primarily situated in the SDU market, and will get access to fibre over the coming years – a significant acceleration opportunity for Com Hem.
