Agama knows how to find fault

August 30, 2016 15.02 Europe/London By Broadband TV News Correspondent

Agama Technologies, the specialist in video service quality and customer experience, plans to launch a new set of cable-focused features enabling real-time understanding of cable RF performance across the whole network.

“We all know that the RF part of the cable distribution network is where a large proportion of problems occur, and providing better insights in this area is crucial,” says Johan Görsjö, director of product management at Agama Technologies. “We are, therefore, very excited to release this new set of cable-focused features at IBC.”

The new Cable RF visualisation and fault detection tools give full real-time insight into the cable infrastructure’s performance, whilst detecting any problems. Using metrics from the subscribers’ devices, the incoming data is processed and analysed in real-time to generate actionable alerts: identifying which multiplexes are impacted with RF degradation; where in the network the problems have occurred; and, the number of affected customers for each problem.
