English Club TV launches in Latin and North America

August 25, 2016 10.48 Europe/London By Robert Briel

Andrew Semchenko Englsih Club TVEnglish Club TV will launch in the USA, Canada, and Latin America from September 1.

The channel will be available on the Hispasat 30W-5 satellite. The distribution of the English Club TV channel to the operators in North America will be managed by the Media Case Corp. company headed by Leonid Lazovskiy, while the distribution in Latin America will be driven by the Media Partners International company headed by Jo Spalburg

“It was absolutely essential for us to come to the Latam market as our company’s mission is to enhance the learning of English language all over the world. In Latin America, English is considered as an important tool, vital for both personal and professional development, as there is a strong correlation between the level of English and income,” said Andrew Semchenko, CEO of the English Club TV Group.

“According to British Council data, about 40% of Latin Americans stated that they learned English to improve their job prospects while 75% of non-English learners are eager to study the language in order to get higher salaries. In the meantime, most of those who hadn’t learnt English stated that it was due to the high cost of English lessons (50%) and the lack of access to government-funded programs (32%),” said Yuliya Neyman, Head of the Marketing Department, English Club TV Channel.

“The English Club TV channel provides its viewers with the unique opportunity to study and improve English just in front of their screens, tablets and smartphones. We have been producing an effective and useful television network for more than 8 years in Europe, Africa, Asia and the Middle East. Now we are excited to start operating in Latam and we are happy to help, support and motivate.

“We are really happy to go further in Americas in order to spread the English Club TV channel across the territory. North America is a dynamic migration region, with more than 54 million immigrants in the USA and Canada. According to the Migration Policy Institute, about 50% of the immigrants in the USA aged 5 and older are Limited English Proficient (LEP). It means that more than 23 millions of those immigrants are not fluent in English.

English Club TV is a worldwide educational network which helps its viewers to learn English in the most effective and interesting way. Here you will find a number of educational programs grouped by levels, as well as entertaining TV shows to keep the positive motivation for studying English. For the best learning experience our viewing schedule is based on special time slots, so that viewers can choose the programs that meet their needs. Thus, English Club TV will appeal to everyone regardless their age, interests, social background and level of English.”
