Russia’s Tricolor TV faces a fine of up to R500,000 (€6,818) for violating the law ‘On Advertising’.
ComNews reports that the antimonopoly service (FAS) opened an investigation into the DTH operator following a claim by a citizen about an advert saying “zero rubles for a set of equipment” that appeared on the NTV channel last October and November.
In FAS’s view, this claim was misleading.
It also says that Tricolor TV can challenge its decision in the courts.
