Netflix continues to grow its customer base in the Netherlands, without a corresponding increase in above-the-line advertising, according to research by Telecompaper.
Following a peak in Q4 2014, the streaming video provider’s ATL spending has fallen sharply, while the customer base grew strongly. Netflix had an estimated 1.66 million Dutch subscribers at the end of June.
In the first and second quarters of 2016, the number of customers grew by 13% in each quarter, better than the average quarterly growth rate of 10.5% in 2015.
