In addition to all the Live Serie A TIM action available on Eleven Sports Network in Belgium and Luxembourg, RTL viewers will be able to watch one weekly live match from Italy’s top flight every Sunday throughout the season, from September 11.
As part of the agreement, football fans can additionally enjoy Eleven United, the network’s weekly football review programme which covers the best goals and action from some of the biggest league and cup competitions from around the world, including LaLiga Santander, Serie A TIM, Ligue 1 and the Emirates FA Cup.
“This agreement with RTL ensures even more football fans in Belgium and Luxembourg will have an additional reason to cheer the start of the football season,” says Danny Menken, Group Managing Director, Eleven Sports Network.
“The Serie A is one of the most prestigious leagues in the world and we are sure supporters will love following all the action, and in local language commentary.”
“In recent years, RTL has developed its sports offer, particularly in football,” says Laurent Haulotte, Head of News and Sports at RTL Belgium.
“This agreement brings the number of football matches that we will broadcast during the 16-17 season on Club RTL to more than 100, which is exceptional for a general-interest channel. For football fans, it’s the opportunity to experience the great achievements of mythical teams such as Juventus, Roma and Napoli, as well as Belgian players like Radja Nainggolan, Thomas Vermaelen, Dries Mertens and Jordan Lukaku. More than ever, during the next season, Club RTL will be the reference point for high quality sports events.”
In addition to Serie A TIM, Eleven Sports Network shows Live action from the Emirates FA Cup, English Football League and English Football League Cup, Spanish LaLiga Santander, French Ligue 1, Campeonato Brasileiro Série A, Scottish Professional Football League and 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia Conmebol qualifiers, as well as NFL, NBA, Velux EHF Champions League handball, kickboxing, MMA, ATP 250 tennis and cycling events from around the world on its two channels, Eleven and Eleven Sports.
