Bosnian telco under pressure

BH TelecomBH Telecom has posted a profit of KM32.3 million (€16.5 million) for the first half of this year.

This, according to Poslovni, was down from the KM39.6 million in the same period in 2015. At the same time, operating income was also slightly lower – down from KM256.2 million to KM255.2 million, while operating expenses rose from KM213.2 million to KM218.8 million.

BH Telecom’s financial activities generated a profit of KM2 million in H1 2016, up from KM1.5 million a year earlier.

However, other income and expenses recorded a loss of KM562,000, compared to a profit of KM1.1 million.

BH Telecom is 90% owned by the federation government of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Its other shareholders include Zif Big Investment Group (0.9%), Prevent BH Visoko (0.47%), Zif Pro Plus and Zif Herbos (0.41%).

The company’s TV service Moja TV offers viewers 211 TV channels, along with 54 radio stations.
