German pay-TV broadcaster Sky Deutschland will offer Star Wars fans again a pop-up channel dedicated to the epic space saga after the first run in 2014.
From October 10-23, 2016, Sky Hits will make room for Sky Cinema Star Wars HD. The temporary channel will screen all Star Wars movies from Lucasfilm and Disney as well as over 40 featurettes and documentaries offering views behind the scenes.
In two episodes of Sky Deutschland’s original production Im Leben von… (In the life of…), Anthony Daniels and Kenny Baker are interviewed, better known as robots C-3P0 and R2-D2.
The highlight will be the German TV debut of the latest production Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015) on October 16, 2016.
Next to the conventional Sky platform, the channel will also be available mobile and on demand on Sky Go and Sky On Demand. Star Wars fans who don’t want to sign up for a regular, long-term Sky subscription can watch the channel on OTT service Sky Ticket.
Previous pop-up channels offered by Sky Deutschland include Sky 007 HD, Sky Thrones HD and Sky Disney Prinzessinnen HD.
