The Slovenian incumbent Telekom Slovenije has asked the country’s regulatory authorities for permission to enter two new markets.
Poslovni reports that while telecoms will remain its core business, it plans to take advantage of its large subscriber base to start selling electricity, as part of an ‘all in one’ package, by the end of this year.
Furthermore, it aims to enter the insurance business next year, developing its presence in it until 2020.
Analysts say that by entering the two new markets Telekom Slovenije may be able to reverse a recent trend of falling revenues.
