Industry veteran joins Scripps

Kasia JablonskaScripps Networks Interactive has appointed Kasia Jablonska VP, affiliate sales, EMEA.

Based in London, she will report to Ross Hair, senior VP, commercial, UK & EMEA, Scripps Networks Interactive.

In this new role, Jablonska will be responsible for managing the distribution of Scripps Networks’ lifestyle channel portfolio across the region including Food Network, Travel Channel, Fine Living, as well as HGTV, which launches in the region for the first time in November.

She will be tasked with developing new business opportunities, increasing distribution of the portfolio of brands in EMEA markets, and driving annual and long-term company revenue growth.

Commenting on the appointment, Hair said: “Kasia brings more than 15 years’ experience in international channel distribution, content sales and commercial strategy and will play an integral role in further establishing Scripps Networks as the leading provider of lifestyle media across EMEA.

“She joins at an exciting time for the business as we launch HGTV for the first time in the region, and I have no doubt that Kasia will play an important role in the future success of HGTV and our growing Scripps Networks’ portfolio.”

Jablonska has joined from A+E Networks UK, where she held the position of director of distribution, UK, Central and Eastern Europe, Benelux, Africa and Middle East.

In this role, she was responsible for overseeing affiliate and new media sales, including the launch of Lifetime in Africa and H2 across Central and Eastern Europe and the Middle East.

Her previous roles include commercial and affiliate sales positions with NBCUniversal, Fox International Channels, National Geographic Partners and Wizja TV in Poland.
