Robert Redeleanu, the CEO of UPC Romania, will also assume responsibility for UPC Hungary on September 1.
Quoting a company release, HotNews reports that he will be based in Bucharest and the two companies will contine to operate as separate entities.
At the same time, Magnus Ternsjö, the current CEO of UPC Hungary, will leave Liberty Global after a 15-year career with the company.
Redeleanu joined UPC Romania as chief marketing officer (CMO) in 2013, having previously worked in the consumer goods industry for over 15 years.
He has been CEO since July 1, 2015.
This is the second time that such a change has taken place, with Severina Pascu, a former CEO of UPC Romania, also being made the head of the company’s Hungarian operation in 2013.
She went on last year to become UPC’s regional CEO.
Earlier this year, Liberty Global brought together its UPC operations in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
