TDC says it has successfully consolidated YouSee as a single consumer brand in the Danish market.
The telco has integrated the cable brand with that of its traditional telephony and IPTV services.
Most recently its decked 45 TDC shops in YouSee’s green livery. Behind the scenes some 1 million customers are being transferred onto new IT systems that the company warns may result in negative customer experience in the short term.
The change has not necessarily helped TV contribute to the balance sheet. TV Revenues decreased by 0.2% or DKK 4 million to DKK 2,135 million as customers moved to smaller packages. Average customer revenue was down by DKR 2 on the corresponding quarter in 2015, wiping out earlier price increases.
“The transformation from TDC Consumer to YouSee is an immense and demanding project, but also the right decision for all parties. Being a customer with us will be both simpler and better when we combine the best of the two brands into a single platform, and at the same time we will be offering the best possible level of connectivity to customers at their home address. And making everything simpler and better for our customers also means making it simpler and better for ourselves. We still have a fair bit of work ahead of us, but the first difficult and important steps have now been taken,” says Group CEO Pernille Erenbjerg.
The mobile customer base, which includes both call subscriptions and pure data subscriptions, grew by 19,000 residential customers and 7,000 business customers in the period.
