German pay-TV operator Sky Deutschland has expanded its family entertainment proposition in the on-demand area through its recently launched Sky Kids app.
With the move, Sky leverages existing content and aims to make it more attractive for families. The bundled strategy also increases stickiness of the existing packaging structure and helps generating valuable additional data about its customers’ consumption patterns, according to Veed Analytics.
In its latest Snapshot New Kids on the Block – Sky targeting the Kids Market in Germany, the German research company analyses the features of the Sky Kids app and compares it with other video-on-demand (VOD) services targeting children in Germany.
The report which can be downloaded free of charge on Veed Analytics’ website also takes a look at the players and development as well as the prospects for pay-TV broadcasters, VOD providers and platform operators in the German children’s TV market.
