After several days of speculation that it was about to make an offer for Avanti Communications, Inmarsat has said it won’t be making a bid.
The satellite data communications company has been in talks with a number of potential investors to bring in new funding.
Inmarsat has confirmed that it did make some preliminary investigations, but decided not to make a bid for its much smaller rival.
Inmarsat’s global business offers services for the US government, maritime and engineering services.
