Telefónica had 3.8 million pay-TV customers in its home market Spain as of the end of the second quarter, a 4% organic growth on the same period last year.
Of these, 750,000 were DTS satellite subscribers.
Meanwhile, Telefónica’s Movistar Fusión had 4.3 million customers (+10% year-on-year) and 2.1 million additional mobile lines (+9%), with quarterly additions of 60,000.
As of the end of June, Movistar Fusión represented 80% of broadband, 77 of TV and 70% of mobile contract customers.
Meanwhile, the coverage of Telefónica’s FTTH network increased by 600,000 new premises in Q2 to reach 15.7 million.
Significantly, this was still the largest in Europe.
The Telefónica group as a whole had revenues of €25,235 million in H1 (-7.1% reported and +1.3% organic compared to the same period last year).
OIBDA was €7,756 million (-6.4%, +3.1%) and net income €1,241 million (-42.1% reported).
