Russia’s Gazprom Media has completed the restructuring of its TV entertainment channel group.
According to Kommersant, the group, which includes TNT, TV-3, Pyatnitsa, TNT4 and 2×2, along with the production companies Comedy Club Production and Good Story Media, will come under GPM Entertainment TV, headed by Artur Dzhanibeskyan.
The focus will now be the expansion of in-house productions and its monetisation.
Gazprom Media’s entertainment channels have previously outperformed the market, with Pyatnitsa, for instance, posting a 20% increase in revenues in 2015.
Meanwhile, in an interview with Kommersant, Igor Mishin, a former CEO of TNT, has spoken about the possibility of the channel producing feature films.
