Orange has announced plans for some subscribers to its fibre offer to receive a bouquet of pay-TV channels from Vivendi’s CanalSat.
It’s planned to bundle a package that consists of fibre broadband and a selection of channels.
The Canal+ premium channels and CanalSat mini pay package is already available for an additional fee. Further details of the offer are expected to be released in the autumn.
Announcing its second quarter financials, Orange now has 8,146,000 TV subscribers, principally on IPTV, a fall from 8,182,000.
Net income was €3.323 billion in the first half of 2016, an increase of €2.050 billion compared to the first half of 2015.
First-half Restated EBITDA was €5.913 billion euros, down 0.6% in relation on 2015 on a comparable basis.
