Two international channels from Spain’s Atresmedia have been added to Spanish Viva, a package recently launched by Virgin Media in the UK.
As a result, Atresmedia has become the first Spanish operator to offer its services in the country.
Commenting on the addition of Antena 3 and Atreseries to the package, which offers programming solely in Spanish, Mar Martinez Raposo, Atresmedia’s international director, said: “We are very pleased that for the first time our channels are already available in the UK market, also coinciding with the 20th anniversary of the birth of Antena 3 International.”
Atresmedia operates a total of three international channels – of Antena 3, Atreseries and Hello! TV – and they are distributed in Spanish speaking countries in Latin America, as well as the US, Canada, Europe and Africa.
