The Polish national commercial broadcaster TVN is preparing the second major change to one of its thematic channels in little over a year.
Press.pl reports that although TVN Meteo was transformed from a weather to a health and lifestyle channel named TV Meteo Active in April 2015, it dropped a couple of flagship programmes in the autumn.
Despite growing its audience share, the new channel was failing to live up to TVN’s expectations.
Now, the broadcaster is preparing to change the channel’s theme and name yet again, with the focus being placed on the home and garden.
Indeed, it will be able to draw on the portfolio of TVN’s owner Scripps Networks Interactive, and in particular HGTV (Home & Garden Television), which has been present in the US market since 1994.
