CSI Sports has acquired the Sport 10 channel in Belgium reaching 1.3 million subscribers on the Proximus platform.
CSI Sports was founded in the US in 1997 by Richard and Craig Miele, and specialises in acquiring, producing and distributing fight-related content.
The acquisition continues the long term plan to create new opportunities to build the CSI Sports business, Fight Sports brand globally. Today, Fight Sports operates across Europe and the Asia Pacific region with carriage in more than 30 countries since launching less than three years ago.
CSI Sports’ Co-CEOs, Richard Miele and Craig Miele said: “Sport 10 is one of only three basic sports channels on the Proximus platform and has a valuable EPG position that provides great access to a significant audience for the purpose of growing our Belgium business”.
Proximus’ Stéphanie Rockmann, director content and media, said: ”We are really pleased that CSI Sports has decided to invest in Belgium. We believe CSI Sports Group has the capacity to further develop Sport 10 and to offer a broader sports experience to ProximusTV subscribers.”
