Unitymedia has continued its climb back up the Netflix ISP Speed Index. Its risen two place to No. 2 with an average monthly speed of 3.82 Mbps, up from 3.59 Mbps in May. Kabel Deutschland remains the market leader on 3.83.
Netflix describes its ISP Speed Index as “a measure of prime time Netflix performance on particular ISPs (internet service providers) around the globe, and not a measure of overall performance for other services/data that may travel across the specific ISP network”.
In Austria, UPC increased their speed by 0.68 Mbps in June, climbing to fourth place with an average monthly speed of 3.75 Mbps. Kabelplus leads the Austrian table on 4.15 Mbps from Liwest and CableLink.
Sweden’s Com Hem is unchanged at the top of the local leaderboard with 3.93 Mbps.
In the Netherlands the leader is Caiway on 3.98 Mbps, but it is Ziggo on 3.87Mbps in third place that is neck and neck with itself, the former Dutch UPC network on 3.85 Mbps. Telco KPN is fifth on 3.75 Mbps.
Virgin leads the United Kingdom leaderboard on 3.74 Mbps from BT (3.60 Mbps) and Plusnet (3.34 Mbps).
