The Russian national commercial broadcaster CTC Media has appointed Alexander Kostyuk as its deputy DG for strategic development.
He has also become the head of the directorate for strategic development and research.
Commenting on the development, Vyacheslav Murugov, general director of CTC Media, said he had decided to create the directorate in order to strengthen the structure of the team and CTC Media.
The directorate will be tasked with bringing a new level of research and analytics to the company, as well as finding new areas of business development.
Its responsibilities will also include media buying and digital direction.
CTC Media was backed by Modern Times Group (MTG) up until late 2015 but is now under Russian ownership, complying with legislation that came into effect at the beginning of this year.
