Jamaica’s Digicel selects Agama

July 5, 2016 09.12 Europe/London By Robert Briel

Agama Technologies has announced that Jamaica-based Digicel Group has selected Agama to provide its end-to-end DTV monitoring solution.

This solution covers the complete end-to-end hybrid IP/cable TV and OTT service distribution for linear and VoD services. It will enable Digicel to manage and operate its video services as these are rolled out across multiple markets.

Digicel is a telecommunications provider with operations in 33 markets in the Caribbean, Central America and Asia. It is now expanding its TV and video offerings in the Caribbean. As a core part of this development, Digicel has selected to implement Agama’s full end-to-end solution, allowing it to take a proactive approach to service assurance.

“As part of our commitment to deliver the best service to our loyal customers across the globe, we chose Agama because of its ability to deliver service quality and operational efficiencies that will ultimately benefit our customers. Agama will provide a complete solution across multiple distribution technologies and services supporting important use cases across our operations,” explains Krishna Phillipps, CTO for the Caribbean and Central America at Digicel.

Mikael Dahlgren, CEO at Agama Technologies, added: “We are very proud that an operator such as Digicel, with its strong focus on efficiency and customer experience, has selected to deploy our solution. Digicel shares our passion for data-driven efficiency and is taking a proactive approach by deploying our service assurance solution to ensure its rollout. We have seen excellent results in the past where this solution has enabled a quicker service rollout and fewer initial problems.”
