Magdalena Gaj, the president of the Polish Office of Electronic Communications (UKE), has handed in her resignation to Beata Szydlo, the country’s Premier.
According to Wirtualne Media, it has been approved by Szydlo and will now be considered by the Commission of Digitisation, Innovation and New Technologies.
If the resignation is accepted, Gaj remain in the post until a successor in named.
Gaj said she had completed the goals she had set herself sooner than expected, leaving behind, amongst other things, DTT established and fibre-optic networks being built in Poland.
Gaj has been president of UKE since 2012 and is likely to be succeeded by Krzysztof Dyl, currently her deputy.
