The Slovak pay-DTT platform Plustelka will begin the switch to DVB-T2 on June 29.
Parabola reports that the first transmitter used by the country’s fourth multiplex, located in Banská Bystrica-Lacomer, will then move over to the standard, with the process for the remaining transmitters due to be completed by the beginning of September.
As reported earlier this month by Broadband TV News, Slovakia’s transition to DVBT-2 will initially be focused on Plusteka.
Operated by the national transmission company Towercom, it currently has between 15,000-16,000 subscribers.
