Fox Networks Group Germany wants to expand its TV channel portfolio in Germany.
An application for a broadcast licence for The Nature & Wildlife Channel has been submitted at Berlin-based media authority MABB, a spokeswoman of Fox Networks confirmed to Broadband TV News. Anti-media concentration commission KEK has also received the proposal for evaluation.
The spokeswoman declined to elaborate on details, for example regarding the content, distribution platforms and launch date.
Fox group currently operates in Germany the pay-TV channels Fox, National Geographic Channel, Nat Geo Wild, Nat Geo People and Baby TV.
