A third of Polish homes, or nearly 2.5 million homes, are now within reach of Orange’s fibre-optic network.
In a statement, the company says the network is operational in 26 cities, with work in a further 33 set to start in the second half of this year.
It adds that record investment, amounting to PLN2.2 billion (€491 million) will be undertaken between 2016-18, after which the network will reach 3.5 million homes.
Orange also says that most of the equipment and services used for building the network are being supplied by Polish companies.
