Vincent Bollore is said to be relinquishing his post as chairman of Canal+.
Bloomberg reported he would step down from the role during the summer, a year after he took up the position.
Separately, Le Figaro has said Bollore’s son Yannick will join the board during the summer with Vivendi’s deputy CEO, Arnaud de Puyfontaine, ultimately becoming the Group’s new chairman.
Vivendi has not made any comment.
Earlier this month the Autorité de la Concurrence said Canal+ could not go ahead with the exclusive distribution agreement with beIN sports.
In response the French pay-TV network, which is struggling with subscriber erosion in its home market, said the Group will have to work on alternative solutions to stop the losses at the Frenc Canal+ channels.
